Succession planning and talent management is about identifying and developing the leaders of tomorrow. Planning for the recruitment, development and retention of school leaders is essential, to ensure potential leaders have the right skills for modern school or academy leadership.


Chadsgrove Teaching School Alliance has a strategic role in succession planning, working together with schools and academies to systematically identify and manage leadership talent within our alliance and across partner alliances, and developing strategies to move this talent onwards.

Our CPD programme supports succession planning and talent management through a range of courses including National Professional Qualifications for Middle Leadership (NPQML) and Headship (NPQH).
