Zing Up

This is a cognitive neuroscience research project which aims to assess the Zing Up teaching programme. Zing up was developed for strengthening children’s cognitive and social growth. An evaluation of an exploratory previous version of the programme found it to be very effective, and the current programme is an extension that contains new activities and games to reinforce children’s learning and cover new outcomes.

The study involves giving a range of written and computer-based assessments and questionnaires at the beginning and end of the programme in different schools, and Chadsgrove is participating as a representative special school. The research is being led by Professor David Reynolds of the University of Southampton.
